Report of the 2nd Annual General Meeting 2008.
|
Clwb Llanllawen Annual General Meeting
held at Llysfasi College on Thursday 22nd May 2008. This was the
second AGM, The meeting was opened by our Chair Person Joy by
welcoming those present and who then gave a review of the year
month by month in Welsh and English, she thanked Rachel for
keeping us all informed and her minuet taking at meetings and
Jan for all her hard work and enthusiasm in arranging the very
varied and full programme we have enjoyed during the year, Joy
also thanked Colin for his work on the Website and to Mair for
the production of the “History of Clwb Llanllawen”. Rachel then
gave the Secretary’s report which included details of membership
for the year she went on to thank Alison Bradley, one of our
members, who had designed our new Logo and Banner featuring the
Morgan Family and our new Welsh dragon! This report was also
given in Welsh and English.
Jan said that the committee had started to put together next
years programme and that we would be having two events each
month with games evenings alternating between LlanFair DC and
Corwen. The Year was to begin in September with a weekend
workshop (see web for details) and of course Christmas Dinner at
Bodidris Hall, we would be having another dance and a Third
Birthday picnic at Llanllawen, a theatre trip, walks and some
informal pub evenings. This report again was given in Welsh and
English. Colin gave a report on the website and thanked Matt and
Karen for help in the transition from the existing to new site.
Jon had also played a large part in the design of the web layout
and Alison had designed the banner for the web pages. Colin then
gave a tour of the website and pointed out various new pages
like ‘behind the picture’ and a ‘postcard from…’ he added that
we now have a world wide audience.
Brian Price gave the Treasurers report which showed Clwb
finances in a healthy position Brian added that we had been
helped by people giving talks free of charge and this was
appreciated, he went on to say that the aim was to make events
free or cost neutral. The Election of Officers and Committee
Members saw almost all of the previous committee returned to
office with one or two additions Marilyn and Debbie, Nan and
Sian remain ex officio members maintaining the link with Bwrdd
yr laith and contact with the College maintained through Gwenan.
Our regular all round good egg and tutor, Myfi, was also
re-elected.
The meeting was a great success expertly run by Joy from the
chair with all of the agenda being dealt with in thoroughly
efficient and enjoyable manner giving members an opportunity to
raise issues and ask questions.

Cynhaliwyd Cyfarfod Blynyddol Clwb Llanllawen yng Ngholeg
Llysfasi ddydd Iau 22ain Mai 2008. Hwn oedd yr ail Gyfarfod
Blynyddol yn ein hanes. Agorwyd y cyfarfod gan ein Cadeirydd
Joy, yn ddwyieithog, drwy groesawu pawb ac yna adolygu’r
flwyddyn yn fisol. Diolchodd Joy i Rachel am gysylltu
â
phawb yn rheolaidd ac am gymryd y cofnodion yn ein pwyllgorau.
Hefyd, diolchodd hi i Jan am ei gwaith caled a’i brwdfrydedd
unigryw yn trefnu’r rhaglen amrywiol a llawn yn 07 – 08.
Diolchodd Joy hefyd i Colin am ei waith ar y wefan ac i Mair am
greu’r ffeil hynod ddiddorol “Hanes Clwb Llanllawen”. Aeth
Rachel ymlaen wedyn i roi adroddiad yr Ysgrifenyddes oedd yn
cynnwys manylion aelodaeth 07 -08. Diolchodd Rachel i Alison
Bradley,un o’n aelodau, oedd wedi cynllunio ein Logo newydd a
Baner yn portreadu’r teulu Morgan a’r ddraig newydd! Cyflwynodd
Rachel hyn oll yn ddwyieithog.
Ddudodd Jan bod y pwyllgor wedi dechrau rhoi trefn ar raglen 08
-09 ac y byddai ‘na ddau ddigwyddiad y mis ond y byddai’r
nosweithiau gemau yn digwydd bob yn ail rhwng Llanfair D.C. a
Chorwen. Dechreuwn y flwyddyn ym mis Medi efo gweithdy
penwythnos (gweler y wefan os am fanylion) ac wrth gwrs ein
Cinio Nadolig ym Modidris. Cawn ddawns yn
ôl
yr arfer a phicnic i ddathlu penblwydd Clwb Llanllawen yn
Llanllawen ei hun! (Mi fyddwn ni’n dair oed y flwyddyn nesa!).
Ymysg pethau eraill mi fyddwn ni’n mynd i’r theatr, yn cerdded
ac yn cael nosweithiau anffurfiol mewn tafarnau, a llawer mwy….
Siaradodd Jan yn ddwyieithog. Adroddodd Colin yn
ôl
ar y wefan gan ddiolch i Matt a Karen am eu cymorth yn
trosglwyddo o’r hen safle i’r safle newydd. Roedd Jon hefyd wedi
chwarae rhan bwysig iawn o ran adeiladu’r safle newydd ac wrth
gwrs roedd Alison wedi cynllunio’r faner newydd sydd i’w gweld
ar y wefan. Yna, wnaeth Colin ein tywys o gwmpas y wefan newydd
gan gyfeirio pawb at y tudalennau newydd – tudalennau fel “Tu
ôl
i’r llun” a “Cerdyn post o..”.. Ychwanegodd fod gynnon ni
gynulleidfa ym mhedwar ban y byd erbyn hyn.
Mi gaethon ni adroddiad y Trysorydd gan Brian Price oedd yn
dangos bod ein sefyllfa ariannol yn iach. Ychwanegodd Brian bod
y ffaith bod cymaint o bobl wedi bod yn barod i ddod i siarad
efo ni am ddim wedi bod yn help mawr wrth gwrs, ac ein bod, fel
clwb, yn gwerthfawrogi hynny’n fawr. Aeth ymlaen i ddeud mai nod
y clwb oedd cynnig digwyddiadau am ddim os yn bosib neu o leia
cadw’r gost mor isel
â
phosib.
Ethol swyddogion newydd. Ail etholwyd swyddogion ac aelodau’r
Pwyllgor ac ychwanegwyd dau aelod newydd sef – Marilyn a Debbie.
Mae Sian a Nan yn aros efo ni er mwyn cynnal ein cysylltiad
â
Bwrdd yr Iaith, a Gwenan yn yr un modd er mwyn cadw’n cysylltiad
â
Choleg Llysfasi. Ail etholwyd Myfi i gynrychioli’r tiwtoriaid.
Mi gawson ni gyfarfod llwyddiannus dros ben. Roedd y cyfarfod yn
broffesiynol ond yn ddigon anffurfiol i bawb deimlo’n ddigon
cyfforddus i fynegi barn a gofyn cwestiynau. Mae ein diolch yn
fawr i Joy am ein tywys mewn ffordd mor ddidrafferth a graenus.
