hi everyone

Martin and Bernie took me to one of my favourite beaches on arrival day in New Zealand. It was so nice to get into summer clothes again. Jet lag was quite bad this time, but I'm feeling ok now. Weather very hot and sticky, but there are plenty of shade - giving trees in the garden.

I have got out the Llanllawen book, but need to go back to Stori 1!! Say hi to Myfi. I'm sorry to hear that you are having another spell of snow and freezing weather over there.

Hello everyone! Hope you are all well. I'm now into week three already. It rained today for the first time since I arrived, and it was most welcome as NZ is experiencing the heat wave that has also been felt in Australia . It has been too hot to play golf!!! but luckily I have lessons in an air conditioned "School" and can go in there to practice too. We had a bbq on sunday with M and B's friends, on the deck, in the shade.

I hope to do some sight seeing next week, and there is a very good exhibition at the Museum, Auckland on dinosaurs, and fossils etc.

At the other extreme, Billy Connolly will be here in a couple of weeks, and there is a concert in the park, with fireworks etc. take a picnic and a bottle of fizz.

Anne.

Hi Myfi and Everyone, (March2008)

Sorry this is in English, but I have my 3rd glass of wine in front of me!!!  Went for a golf lesson today with Kay Maxwell, three times Ladies

Anne & Kay with the Clwb Llanllawen book one Champion of New Zealand at her Golf Retreat, and shared the lesson with two Linda's, both from South Wales, one with connections in Pwllheli. They have been resident in NZ for about 20 years, but still have their welsh accents! We had a great day together, and a giggle, as they are beginners like me and a similar age. I hope to see them again tomorrow but the forecast is for showers so we will have to see. It has been very hot, but there is a hint of autumn in the air now, first thing in the morning, and getting cooler in the evenings. No more meals on the deck in the evenings, shame! I may extend my stay here by a week or two, It depends on Singapore Airlines though, and although I don't want to leave this fabulous country, I would like to see my little dog again, and everyone back home. Would you tell Myfi that I would like to do the gardening activity in April please.

Happy Easter if I don't see you before, love, Anne.
