Dawns efo Pen Tennyn
Nos Fercher Gorffennaf 6ed 2011
Canolfan Awelon ,Rhuthun
Roedd hi’n noson dda – yn llwyddiannus yn dawnsio i gerddoriaeth Pen Tennyn. Roedd ‘na ugain o bobl – perffaith i wneud dawns gylch neu i ddawnsio mewn llinellau – efo digon o le i symud o gwmpas y ‘stafell, efo egni wrth gwrs.
Mi ddechreuodd Pen Tennyn efo cân efo’u offerynnau – gitâr, ffidil, acordion ac offerynnau taro, bob un ohonyn nhw’n canu mewn harmoni. Mi ganon nhw yn ystod y noson hefyd i roi siawns i bobl eistedd a gorffwys! Fel arall, wnaethon ni ddawnsio y noson i ffwrdd! (efo llawer o chwerthin, digon o chwys, a sgwrs)
Diolch i Jan, a Phen Tennyn wrth gwrs.
Triwch ddod tro nesa. Mae’n hwyl!
A dance with Pen Tennyn
Wednesday evening July 6th 2011
At Canolfan Awelon, Ruthin.
It was a good night – successful dancing to the music of Pen Tennyn. There were 20 people – perfect to make circles or lines – with enough room to move around the room – with energy of course.
Pen Tennyn started with a song, with their instruments – guitar, violin, accordion and drums each one singing as well. They sang during the evening too, to give us a chance to rest! Otherwise, we danced the night away (with lots of laughter, enough sweat, and chat).
Thanks to Jan and Pen Tennyn of course.
Try to come next time. It’s fun!
Noson ddrama. Nos Iau, Ebrill 28ain 2011
Yn Neuadd Eleanor, Llanfair D.C.
Gwesteiwr oedd Clwb Llanllawen i berfformiad o “ Noson Ryfedd yn y Llew Coch”, gan
M
yfi Brier (tiwtor Cwrs Llanllawen). Gaeth y ddrama ei pherfformio gan ddau grŵp
Lleisiau’r Llan – gwerthusiad terfynol o’i cwrs Cymraeg eleni mewn gwirionedd. Roedd
‘na gynulleidfa gynnes y noson honno – dros chwe deg o bobl – pawb wedi dod yna i
fwynhau eu hunain. Roedd ‘na gymysgwch o ddysgwyr Cymraeg a siaradwyr iaith gynta.
Roedden ni’n lwcus iawn cael help gan bobl oedd yn deall y pethau ‘ma, yn deall sut
i roi drama ar lwyfan! Dan ni’n sôn yma am ein ffrindiau newydd Dave, Linda a Gwynne.
Dan ni mor ddiolchgar iddyn nhw!
Mae’r adroddwyr yn gofyn i’r gynulleidfa- “Dach chi’n credu mewn ysbrydion?” Meddyliwch yn ofalus cyn ateb achos yn Neuadd Eleanor y noson honno, roedd ‘na ddwy ohonyn nhw! Roedd y wraig wen (yr ysbryd) yn chwilio am ei chariad o gwmpas y lle. ( Roedd ‘na ddwy ohonyn nhw achos gaeth y ddrama ei pherfformio ddwywaith – cyn ac ar ôl yr egwyl. Gobeithio bod y dysgwyr yn deall mwy yr ail dro!). Wnaeth y stori barhau.....
Roedd y stori yn dilyn hynt a helynt tri hen ffrind (yr hogiau) sy’n mynd i’r Llew Coch bob nos Iau. Mae gynnyn nhw hen siaced felen, lachar i wisgo ar y ffordd adre. Mae pawb yn cymryd eu tro i wisgo’r hen siaced. Hefyd yn y dafarn mae Meic ( dyn y dafarn) a thair merch eitha ifanc, sy’n hoffi clecs. Maen nhw’n siarad am Morfudd Cadwaladr ( y brifathrawes) sy wedi cael “Botox” neu “Detox”. Dydyn nhw ddim yn siwr! Wedyn, mae’r wraig wen yn dod i mewn, yn ymddangos a diflannu efo sŵn mellt a thrannau.
Ar ôl gadael y dafarn ( wedi cael gormod o gwrw!) mae’r dynion yn
cerdded
adre ar hyd y lonydd. Mae’r niwl yn dod i lawr, ac maen nhw’n clywed sŵn cerbyd a cheffylau ac maen nhw’n gweld y wraig wen unwaith eto. Mae gynnyn nhw ofn!
Ar y diwedd maen nhw’n deud yr hanes wrth bobl y dafarn y noson wedyn – wrth gwrs mae’r stori wedi mynd yn fwy (fel stori bysgotwr!). Mae’r chwe cheffyl wedi troi’n dri chant – o leia! Anghredadwy! I gwblhau’r stori “Botox”, mae’r tair merch yn cadw’n heini yn y gampfa. Maen nhw’n gweld Morfudd Cadwaladr yna. Yn bendant “Botox” ydy o!
Yn ystod yr egwyl, wnaeth Clwb Llanllawen roi gwobr i ddysgwr o’r flwyddyn gynta – Llanllawen 1. Eleni roedd Becks(Rebecca Fowkes) yn ei hennill hi. Mae hi wedi mynd yn ôl i weithio yn rhan amser, felly mae hi wedi penderfynu dod i’r dosbarth bob yn ail wythnos. Mae hi’n dysgu pob stori yn berffaith cyn i’r dosbarth ddechrau’r stori. Go dda!
Hefyd roedd ‘na gydnabyddiaeth arbennig i Pete a Mo, sy wedi gwneud DVD o’r ddrama. Mae hyn wedi cymryd llawer iawn o’u hamser ac mae pawb yn gwerthfawrogi yn fawr iawn. Cydnabyddiaeth hefyd wrth gwrs i’n ffrindiau newydd Linda, Dave a Gwynne! Diolch anferthol i chi i gyd!
Mae Clwb Llanllawen yn credu bod y noson wedi bod yn llwyddiannus – a gobeithio y bydd hi’n digwydd yn flynyddol.
Drama evening. Thursday, Apri 28th, 2011
At Neuadd Eleanor Llanfair D.C.
Clwb Llanllawen was host to the performance of “A strange evening
at the Red Lion”,
by Myfi Brier ( a Llanllawen tutor). It was performed by two Lleisiau’r Llan groups
– their final assessment in a way. There was a warm audience – over sixty people
– everyone had come there to enjoy themselves. There was a mixture of Welsh learners
and first language speakers. We were very lucky to have the help of people who understood
these matters, understood how to put a play on stage! We are talking about our new
friends Dave, Linda and Gwynne. We are so grateful to them!
The narrators ask the audience “Do you believe in ghosts?”.Think carefully before you answer because in Neuadd Eleanor that evening there were two of them! The white lady (the ghost) was searching for her sweetheart. (There were two ghosts because the drama was performed twice – before and after the interval! Hopefully the learners understood more the second time!). The story continued...
The story followed the three old friends (the lads) who go to the Red Lion every Thursday evening. They have an old bright yellow jacket. Everyone takes their turn to wear it on the way home. Also in the pub is Meic (the barman) and three girls, who like to gossip. They are talking about Morfudd Cadwaladr who has had “Botox” or “Detox”. They are not sure! Then, the white lady appears, appearing and disappearing with the sound of thunder and lightning.
After leaving the pub (having had too much beer!) the men walk home along the lanes. The fog comes down, and they hear the sound of a coach and horses and they see the white lady once more. They are scared!
At the end they tell the story to the people of the pub the following evening – of course the story has got bigger( like a fisherman’s tale!). The six horses have turned into three hundred – at least! Unbelievable! To complete the “Botox” story, the three girls keep fit in the gym. They see Morfudd Cadwaladr there. It is definitely “Botox”!
During the interval, Clwb Llanllawebn gave a prize to a learner from Llanllawen 1. This year it went to Becks – Rebecca Fowkes. She has gone back to work part time, so she has decided to go to her Welsh class every other week. She has always learnt the story before the class have started the story. Well done!
Also a special acknowledgment for Pete and Mo who have made a DVD of the play. It is a beautiful DVD and greatly appreciated by everyone! Acknowledgement also to our new friends Linda, Dave and Gwynne! An enormous thank you to you all!
Clwb Llanllawen believes that it was a successful evening and we hope it will be an annual one.

A welcome evening November 2nd
It was an evening to welcome new people to the club, and welcome once more old members/ members of the club. We had arranged an evening with the DVD “A strange evening in the Red Lion” performed last year by the two “Lleisiau’r Llan” groups. Well actually, we showed a DVD of the rehearsals, with English subtitles. I think that everyone enjoyed the evening, and hopefully they will come next month. There were “Parkin” and cakes there. Thanks to Carole/Joy for them.
See you next time!
Noson croeso Tachwedd 2il
Roedd hi’n noson i groesawu pobl newydd i’r clwb, ac i ail groesawu hen ffrindiau/aelodau’r clwb. Roedden ni wedi trefnu noson efo’r DVD – “Noson Ryfedd yn y Llew Coch”, wedi ei pherfformio llynedd gan ddau ddosbarth “Lleisiau’r Llan”. Wel a deud y gwir, wnaethon ni ddangos DVD o ymarfer y ddrama, efo is deitlau yn Saesneg. Dw i’n meddwl bod pawb wedi mwynhau y noson, a gobeithio wnân nhw ddod mis nesa. Roedd ‘na “Parkin” a chacennau yna. Diolch i Carole/Joy amdanyn nhw.
Wela i chi tro nesa!
Noson garolau efo Nic 7/12/11
Roedd hi’n noson dda, ddymunol a llwyddiannus. Wnaeth Nic ddod efo’i gîtar ac acordian. Yn ogystal â chanu, (wnaethon ni ganu efo fo) wnaeth o ddeud wrthon ni am draddodiadau Cymraeg fel y Fari Lwyd a’r Plygain.
Roedd ‘na lawer o fwyd – cacennau, minspeis, strudel, ffrwyth a hufen iâ strudel, efo paned wrth gwrs. Diolch o galon i bawb sy wedi dod â bwyd, a diolch o galon i Nic. Nadolig Llawen i bawb a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda.
Carol evening with Nic 7/12/11
It was a good evening, pleasant and successful. Nic brought his guitar and accordion. As well as singing, (we sang with him) he told us stories about Welsh traditions such as the Mari Lwyd and the Plygain.
There was a lot of food – cakes, mince pies, strudel, fruit and strudel ice cream, with a cuppa of course. Thank you so much to everyone who brought food, and a big thank you to Nic. A Merry Christmas to everyone and a Happy New Year.
Pilates efo Elen – Ionawr 4ydd 2012
Profiad newydd i’r clwb oedd o a dw i’n meddwl bod pawb wedi mwynhau’r noson. Dim ots bod yr ymarferiadau ddim yn hawdd.
Mi ddechreuodd Elen efo “posture” da, wedyn wnaethon ni ymarferiadau i’r corff (yr ysgwyddau, coesau, cefn, bol...) yn cofio am yr anadlu a’r cyhyrau “core’” trwy’r amser. “Anadlwch allan efo’r ymdrech”.
Mae Pilates yn rhoi ymarfer da i gadw’r corff yn gryf ac yn ymestyn y corff. Dw i’n teimlo’n well ar ôl sesiwn, a gobeithio bod pawb yn cytuno. (Wnawn ni gysgu fel babanod heno –wedi llwyr ymlacio).
Diolch i Elen am ddod. Sesiwn dymunol.
Pilates with Elen – January 4th 2012
This was a new experience for the club and I think that everyone enjoyed the evening. Never mind that the exercises weren’t easy. Elen started with good posture, then we did exercises for the body ( shoulders, legs, back, stomach..) remembering about the breathing and the core muscles at all time. “Breathe out with the effort”
Pilates is a good exercise to keep the body strong and to stretch the body. I feel better after a session and hopefully everyone agrees. (We’ll sleep like babies tonight – totally relaxed).
Thanks for coming Elen. A lovely session.
Noson luniau efo Carole a John (ac Andy ar y cyfrifiadur) – Chwefror 1af 2012
Mae ardal Nant Gwrtheyrn yn edrych yn fendigedig. Wnaeth Carole a John fynd yna llynedd. Wnaeth Carole ddosbarth Cymraeg yna tra bod John yn cerdded o gwmpas efo’i gamera. Gaeth y lluniau, efo cyfeiliant, eu trefnu gan John ar DVD. Mae gynno fo fedrusrwydd mawr.
Ar ôl paned, mi welon ni DVD am “y grug a’r caerau” o gwmpas Dyffryn Clwyd. Mae o’n dangos hanes y bryniau (pobl yr oes haearn); ffeithiau am blanhigion, adar, a phrofiadau pobl sy’n nabod y lle ma’n dda.
Roedd hi’n noson gartrefol, eitha syml ond dymunol iawn. Diolch i’r tîm o gyflwynyddion.
An evening of pictures with Carole and John ( and Andy on the computer). February 1st 2012
The area of Nant Gwrtheyrn looks glorious. Carole and John went there last year. Carole went to a Welsh class while John walked around with his camera. The pictures, with accompaniment, were arranged by John on a DVD. He has great ability.
After a cuppa, we saw a DVD about “heather and hill forts” around the Vale of Clwyd. It shows the history of the hills (iron age people); facts about plants, birds, and the experiences of people who know the area well.
It was a homely evening, quite simple but very pleasant. Thanks to the team of presenters.
